Four students attended the National Oral Health Conference this year in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Among them included one poster presentation, four student leaders, and four of our great cabinet members. The conference was a great opportunity to meet other students and leaders passionate about dental public health. Thank you Dr. Atchison and Dean Krebsbach for the support and for helping us get here!
Dental Public Health Day 2016

Another year, another successful Dental Public Health Day! Several students presented their research projects from the previous year's DPH Phase II Selective. Poster topics included: the future of dental insurance, parenting styles and oral hygiene, and preventive oral health therapies. Thank you Dr Atchinson, Ogo, Ida and the rest of the cabinet for helping put this event together! See more pictures HERE.

Five students attended the National Oral Health Conference this year in Kansas City, Missouri. Among them included two poster presenters, two student leaders, three of our very own cabinet members, and one national first-place student award winner! Fundraiser at Koala Tapioca in Westwood

AAPHD@UCLA will be hosting their first fundraiser at Koala Tapioca in Westwood on March 31st. This event will be an ALL-DAY event from 12pm-12am, so please, treat yourself to something refreshing or savory and mention the AAPHD@UCLA fundraiser to help us raise much-needed funds for our student organization!
DPH Selective Course Info Session

An informational session was held during lunch to help answer students' questions about the selective. Our VP's, Ashley and Spencer, did a fabulous job breaking down the details for the attendees. We hope for another great year of participants! Applications have been sent out and will also be available on our site here.
Dental Public Health Day

The much anticipated Dental Public Health Day was a great success, thanks to our student presenters, volunteers, and attendees. A total of 13 students presented their research projects from the DPH Selective Part II. A wide variety of topics were discussed, ranging from veteran care to electronic cigarettes. We hope students will continue their research in the field and apply their DPH principles in their future careers.

Maybe it was Becca's awesome cookies or Spencer's charm, but the turnout was great! Over 40 students signed up for AAPHD@UCLA, and there was a lot of good interest. Students were particularly interested in our DPH certificate and selective courses. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth!
