"I can think of no other selective at UCLA that offers such an incredible experience that combines the elements of education and research within the context of public health dentistry. I would recommend this selective to anyone with an interest in dental public health."

Dental Public Health Selectives

A unique opportunity for dental students

The UCLA School of Dentistry offers two (2) Dental Public Health selective courses to a chosen number of students.

Students who complete both selectives (Part I and Part II) are awarded the Pre-doctoral Dental Public Health Certificate upon completion of the requirements, which includes presenting their research projects to their peers and mentors at the annual Dental Public Health Day.

All students who are interested in the selective(s) should become a member of AAPHD@UCLA and apply for the selective(s) in the coming winter quarter.

Applications for Phase I are due January 15th, 2016.
